Team Day Highlights: Chocolate, Challenges, and Teamwork

Yesterday, our Adelaide and Melbourne team members came together for a day of challenges, chocolate making, and teamwork.

And with two practices in Adelaide and mobile teams across both Adelaide and Melbourne, it's a rare event - and a really special treat - to get everyone in the same room.

As we made our way into an events room at The Lion in North Adelaide, we were greeted by an itinerary that included:

• A chocolate-making experience and a creative team challenge at Adelaide Chocolate School on Melbourne Street.

• A relaxed morning tea with some time to chat and recharge.

• Dedicated breakout sessions - one for the PBS team, and another for members of our psychology, administration, and marketing teams.

• A delicious and leisurely shared lunch.

• An afternoon of team building activities and reflection.

Chocolate storytime

Our morning challenge was hosted at the Adelaide Chocolate School.

On arrival, we met Belinda who walked us through the chocolate making process. After choosing our moulds, we began handcrafting our own creations. When they were safely setting in the fridges, Belinda revealed details about a chocolate challenge...

We broke into smaller groups, and eagerly began planning. We had to -

• Map out a story based on the chocolate moulds that we had been given.

• Handcraft our chocolate characters and props.

• Paint a background scene for our story.

• Choose music to accompany our story.

• Perform and narrate our story for each of the other teams, with everyone voting for their favourite.

All the stories were incredible. There were moments that made us laugh, and others that had us saying "awww". And our two winning teams walked away with chocolate lollipops!

After a delicious, shared lunch and time to chat with colleagues, we rolled into the afternoon’s activities.

The afternoon was filled with heartfelt conversations, team challenges, and opportunities to learn more about one another. Together, we:

• Took part in thought-provoking sessions and activities about our shared values and personal growth.

• Worked as a team to construct towers using only marshmallows and the items on our tables.

• Tried to match baby photos to the correct team member (we'd all shared a photo of ourselves as a baby or child ahead of the day).

And that's a wrap..!

After a fun-filled day full of activities, it was time to wrap up 2026 Team Day.
