We're the Rockstar Rookies of the Source Disability Expo Adelaide!

Last weekend, we were thrilled to spend two incredible days at the Adelaide Convention Centre for this year’s Source Disability Expo in Adelaide.

Hosted by the wonderful Source Kids team, we were lucky to have a fantastic spot at booth D16. Our stand was buzzing with colour and activity - balloons, tasty treats, brochures, fun prizes, and of course, our two giant inflatable dice... they drew a crowd all on their own!

Step right up and Roll the Dice..!

Our Roll the Dice game was a huge hit with kids and adults alike. With a range of prizes up for grabs, our giant dice were rolled, kicked, bounced, chased (and even lovingly hugged!) all weekend long.

Out of all our giveaways, one prize stole the show (with the parents, at least!) - Activ8 Mind's very own Emotional Regulation Skill Cards for Kids.

Designed and created in-house for children aged 4+, this 13‑card deck combines practical, evidence-based strategies to help kids:

• express their feelings in healthy ways

• build emotional awareness

• return to a calmer state when feeling overwhelmed or dysregulated

  
  

Each individually packed deck includes:

• Feelings check-in cards: to help kids recognise and understand what they're feeling.

• Skills overview cards: to explain the three types of skills that the cards teach (grounding, self kindness, and , with tips to help kids (and parents) know which skill to use when.

• Skills-related exercises: 9 practical and easy to implement exercises to help young minds and bodies return to a calmer state of mind.

And, while the cards were designed for kids 4+, they can come in handy for teens and adults too!

...And then we went and won an award!

Our booth had been buzzing all Saturday, with our incredible team creating a warm, kind, and fun-filled experience for everyone stopping past our booth.

Once the doors shut, the exhibitor networking and awards night began... and that's when it happened. Activ8 Mind was awarded the Rockstar Rookie award!

A heartfelt thank you

We have so many people to thank for such an enriching weekend.

Firstly, a great big thank you to everyone who stopped past our booth. From rolling the dice and chatting about our services to long discussions about KPop Demon Hunters - we loved getting to meet each and every one of you.

And, of course, huge thanks to the people who made the weekend possible - to our team members manning the stand and to the Source Kids team for organising and hosting such an incredible event.

Individual thanks go out to Nada, Alicia, Sarina, Noah, Karishma, Ananya, Ashleigh, Abbie, and Suzi - the team members who helped make booth D16 the success that it was.
