About the Program

Our supported internship program includes:

In-house Board Approved Primary and Secondary Supervisors with weekly scheduled supervision within work hours.

Additional in-house peer support every 2 weeks.

Senior specialist expertise via team presentations and PD sessions.

Structured induction and onboarding with a tailored learning plan.

​

​

Exposure to multidisciplinary team including Behaviour Therapists, Mental Health Social Workers, Educators and OTS for a richer learning experience.

About the internship

what you'll learn

  • Therapeutic and assessment skills across the 8 AHPRA core competencies.

  • Developing and delivering therapy plans for children, youth, and adults presenting with depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, schizoaffective disorders, trauma, BPAD, BPD, cognitive impairments, and chronic pain. 

  • Trauma-informed care. 

  • Risk assessment and supporting clients with suicidal thoughts and self-injurious behaviours. 

  • How to write medico-legal reports 

  • Delivery and write up of Cognitive Assessments, Psychosocial FCAs, and Vocational Assessments. 

  • Hands-on practice with your own client caseload across CBT, ACT, DBT Skills, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. 

  • Core professional behaviours: time management, prioritisation, case noting, reflective practice, working within your code of conduct, ethical/legal/professional matters, crisis intervention, and building professional relationships. 

About The Role

  • Incremental increase in caseload up to 4 billable hours/day.

  • Work with clients across the lifespan, aged 5-65.

  • Exposure to multiple funding frameworks: NDIS, Workers' Compensation, EAP, and private patients. 

  • Support in delivering Cognitive Assessments, Psychosocial FCAs, and Vocational Assessments. 

  • Support in designing and delivering mental health training and workshops. 

  • Competitive graduate salary. 

  • Work across both our Salisbury and Parkside offices (varying levels). 

  • Dedicated time for case studies, log books, and personal research. 

  • Continued employment after full registration, with full-time hours available and a salary review.
