Our Approach
Our team of practitioners are allied health professionals who specialise in positive behaviour support. Together, we provide –
Person-centred, evidence-based strategies & support
We look for the reasons behind a person’s behaviours of concern, taking note of triggers and environmental and societal factors. We create personalised behaviour support plans with proactive and response strategies and progress measures that help people achieve their personal goals.
Trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming support
We take time to build trusting relationships and prioritise establishing physical and emotional safety for the participant. We celebrate diverse ways of being and never seek to suppress neurodivergent traits with positive behaviour support, and we do not support or encourage the restriction of self-regulating behaviours.
Collaboration with care teams, families, and informal supports
We know that collaboration is key to successful outcomes. We work closely with care teams, parents, family members and informal supports, providing psychoeducation and personalised training / coaching. This enhances understanding and helps guide the consistent implementation of strategies.
Face to face support in the locations that matter most
We offer face to face support in NW, NE, West and North Melbourne so we can work with people in the locations that they spend their time in / want to spend more time in. This can include home, school, shops, local community spaces.
