You're a Senior Psychologist committed to high‑quality, ethical practice, and you're seeking the authority and structure needed to reduce clinical risk and embed innovative, evidence‑based approaches into day‑to‑day work.
This role is for someone who wants real influence over clinical quality, proper supervision structures, and the chance to strengthen a team through good systems and safe practice — without being pulled into full people management or sales targets.
The Role (Clinical Governance & Supervision)
We're seeking an experienced Psychologist (Board Approved Supervisor Preferred) to strengthen clinical quality across psychology and counselling by providing senior clinical oversight, supervision and practice improvement. You'll hold a manageable caseload, but your real impact is multiplying good practice across the team.
Important clarity: This is a clinical governance role. You will not be responsible for full performance management processes or staff KPI management. (Those sit with operational leadership.)
This role also has no sales or business development KPIs — relationship-building is professional and service-focused, not quota-driven.
What you'll do
-
Provide high-quality therapy within your preferred framework and client group across NDIS, Medicare, RTWSA/CTP, DVA, EAP, with a manageable caseload
-
Deliver psychological assessments within your scope
-
Be a senior clinical consult option for complex referrals and clinical decision-making
-
Provide structured supervision, mentoring, file reviews and capability development, for staff and placement students
-
Oversee and support the provisional psychologist pathway (logs, structure, supervision rhythm, development focus)
-
Improve and evolve policies, templates and clinical systems to lift consistency and reduce risk (complaints, burnout, compliance)
-
Support the rollout of at least one new service offering
-
Represent the psychology service with universities, referrers and key stakeholders to support placements, relationships and service credibility (no sales KPIs)

This role suits you if
-
You have 5+ years' postgrad psychology experience
-
You're a Board Approved Supervisor – or eligible to be (preferred)
-
You're solid across evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches, such as EMDR highly desired)
-
You care deeply about quality, safety and clinician wellbeing
-
You like improving practice through coaching, structure, and good clinical judgement (not bureaucracy)

The setup
-
Working to a schedule that suits you but will require minimum attendance at both our sites: Parkside & Parafield
-
Attendance at each site (Parkside and Parafield) is required, tailored to suit
-
Supportive leadership, clear expectations, and a focus on strong clinical standards
-
You'll work closely with leadership and external senior supervisors — your voice matters here
