Hi, I'm Sid

Hi, I'm Sid! I have previously worked as a Rehabilitation Counsellor in the  workers' compensation industry before becoming a Behaviour Support Practitioner. From this, I became interested in Positive Behaviour Support which prompted me to complete an introductory course at Monash University. After commencing in the industry, I then completed the Graduate Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support.

Since then, I work with participants aged 8 to 70 years old who present with a range of diagnosis and backgrounds including  Autism, ADHD, forensic and mental health conditions. I individualise my approach with each participant depending on their needs and provide them with choice and control of the activities they want to engage in and setting the goals they want to achieve through behaviour support.

As I love animals, I have included the practice of animal therapy working with my Therapy dog where it is applicable. It is up to the participant’s choice to include animal therapy.

In my personal life, I love rugby and volunteering promoting a cohesive society.
